Supercars in Hong Kong

June 2nd, 2011

As the standard of living in Hong Kong is widely regarded as of international standard, the income level is considered to be on the high side. There are many who can afford fast cars and supercars so much so that there has been reports that the roads in the island country is ‘clogged’ with supercars like Porsches and Ferraris. There are hundreds of such cars rolling around the roads despite the traffic jams that are so common in Hong Kong.

Supercars in Hong Kong come with relatively  high taxes where it is reported to be around 120% but that is not a factor that can keep the spenders down as they are still going all out to roll on their Rolls-Royces, their Aston Martins and Bentleys too. A Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 was recently sold in Hong Kong and this is one of the 50 made by the supercar manufacturer.
The good thing about owning a fast car in Hong Kong is that everyone will most likely be able to see it because Hong Kong is a very small country. What more if you are buying one of the limited editions of a specific model. And that is where the fast car owners come from both side of the spectrum meaning it is not just a boy’s toy anymore.
